This 30-hour driver's education course is sponsored by a cooperating high school, and is the same as any other state-approved course, which you will find very informative and educational. It is designed to be affordable and accessible for all teen drivers state-wide. This online (virtual) driving school course is approved by the Colorado Dept. of Revenue and Driver Ed. Compliance. You will find that it is listed on the Colorado DMV website as such. Once you pass this course and get your driving completed, you will be ready to apply for your Colorado drivers test. You will receive an Affidavit of Enrollment and a certificate of completion. You will also have access to other forms to assist you in being a part of our "parent-taught" program. The family is responsible for the $95 registration fee.
To register for the course, or additional answers to your questions, please visit the cooperating school's web address, www.flaglerdrivereducation.com.
VERY IMPORTANT!! Since the Affidavit of Completion is only good for 6 months, we recommend finishing this as near to your 15th birthdate as possible to allow the most time afterwards to get your permit.
Upon completing this course, you will then be able to seek another professional driving school for the completion of the 6-hour driver (behind-the-wheel) training to complete the driver education requirement. A 6-hour Behind the Wheel (BTW) certificate is required for minors that obtain their instruction permit between the ages of 15 years and 15 years, 6 months. Exception: If the minor lives more than 30 miles from the nearest full-time driving school, an additional 12 hours of driving can be substituted and entered on the drive time log sheet.
